How Green Are You?

Hi everybody! Today, I’m going to talk you about environment. The pollution issue it’s a very complicated topic because of the technological advances and the increase of the use of cars. But, what we can do to help the planet? Altough our help it’s a little part of the whole world, we can do all we can in order to contribute to have a planet cleaner and healthier J.

Have you ever thought that plastic bags last about a thousand years on the Earth? At the last years my mom started using cloth bags and I think it’s a great idea to stop contaminating, and also, a good measure to decrease the amount of plastic in the world it’s recycling in the corresponding dump… There are many ways to help even though you think is minimum: if all people start helping their minimum, the help will be very significative when years start to pass.

Moreover, the pollution is increasing more and more, and one of the main reasons are cars. People is getting use to be “comfortable” and sometimes doesn’t think in the environment or even in their health. Walking or riding a bike it’s a very good option, but we have to start motivating people to achieve.

I’m a person who loves nature and hates the city (because actually I live at the “countryside”) and I consider me a friend of the environment, but I would never join to a eco-organisations just because I’m not keen on that things, but on the other hand, I considered that those are very important to motive people…

Other ideas I have to reduce carbon footprint is using sprays that are friendly with the environment or small things like closing the fridge when you are not using it…  Moreover, Santiago would have more streets to bikers or walkers: It would be healthier and cleaner… I hope someday, this issue will be reduce, just if we all help…
